SKI INFORMATION - 13 ski lifts and cable cars, 60 km of marked and controlled ski slopes, highest point of the ski area: Weisshorn 2653m above sea level, 40km of freeride slopes, 26km of cross-country ski runs, 40km of marked walking and hiking trails, 6 sled runs, snow shoe trekking, unforgettable fun in various mountain huts, terraces for sunbathing, natural and artificial ice-rinks, an ice stadium for ice hockey, curling and ice cane shooting. Arosa is known for being both a summer and a winter resort. Arosa is situated at the end of the Schanfigg valley. The place is at the foot of the Weisshorn - 2,653 m. The traditional holiday destination of Arosa has been a well-known and extremely popular alpine health resort for more than 100 years. On average, the sun shines eight to twelve hours a day and, due to the northerly location, there is always plenty of snow.
Arosa lies at 'snow sure' 1,800 metres above sea level in a wonderful location at the top of a valley. Whether you ski right back to your hotel entrance on your new carving skis at the end of the day, whether you enjoy walking along the winter footpaths going straight through the middle of the ski area or whether you listen to the snow crunching beneath your feet on your way through the village - here you are right in the middle of everything instead of just nearby.
